Two traditions, one beginning.

As evening falls, we continue the wedding celebrations with a traditional north indian weddingceremony chosen to bring both sides of our families and cultures into the story of our marriage. The festivities begin with the Baraat, the groom’s lively wedding procession, traditionally marking his arrival to the bride’s family. Expect music, dancing and plenty of celebration before the two families formally come together for the Milni, a warm meeting and welcome between relatives from both sides. This is followed by the Jaimala, where we exchange flower garlands - a simple but symbolic gesture of choosing and accepting one another before our families. As the celebrations settle into the evening, we move to the mandap for the Vivah itself.
